Department Leadership

Kim Henderson is the director of Social Services - Child, Family and Adult Services (DSS CFAS). As director, she is responsible for directing the overall vision and operations of the department, as well as overseeing all operations within Youth and Family Services, Services for Adults, Early Childhood initiatives, Operations, Strategy and Innovation, and Clinical and Contractual Services. Other responsibilities include developing departmental operational and strategic plans, goals, and objectives, maintaining performance measures for all department operations, overseeing the annual budget, and assuring the conformity to county and state fiscal policies and procedures. 

She joined the County in 2023 as DSS CFAS director. Previously, Kim served as director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, one of Ohio’s largest state agencies. Kim also served as general counsel and senior vice president of Administration at Columbus State Community College. 

Kim holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a juris doctorate from Fordham University.
