Congregate Meal Service

The Congregate Meal Program offers daily hot lunch, socialization and programs that promote health and well- being of seniors. The program is offered at 14 nutrition sites Monday-Friday from 9am-1pm. Seniors should call the site directly and make an appointment to register for the program.

Transportation services are available to select locations on a limited basis through Mecklenburg County Transportation Services (MTS). To find out more information or to apply, please call the site location you wish to attend.

Volunteer opportunities are available.

Who qualifies for This Service?

Mecklenburg County residents, age 60 + and their spouses regardless of age when accompanying an eligible client.
Individuals under age 60 with disabilities who reside with and accompany eligible individuals. Proof of disability will be required at the time of enrollment.
Individuals under age 60 with disabilities who reside in partner housing facilities, occupied primarily by older adults. Proof of disability will be required at the time of enrollment.
